Mia & Bosco Halloween 2009 Mia Happy Little Flower

Mia realizing she just rolled over Mia in her Pumpkin outfit

Hello Everyone,

It has been a long time but I thought i would update our blog with the few spare moments I have today, so this month has been busy for starters Tanisha was sick with the flu for the first week and then we went to visit my family in Buffalo for 4 days had a wonderful time and was so happy to spend time with everyone and that Mia was able to meet her Grandma Val and Great Grandma Violet along with all her aunts, uncles and some cousins I am especially happy that Mia was able to meet her Great Aunt Susie who while we were there lost her fight with cancer but to know that she was surrounded by her family who loves her dearly is the greatest thing possible. We have lots of pictures from our trip but daddy still hasn't uploaded them so I will post those later. So when we returned home I ended up being diagnosed with the H1N1 virus which was so scary because I wasn't even that sick just a stuffy nose so I was put on medicine and told to wear a mask around Mia so that she wouldn't catch my germs, it was a tough couple of days but Caesar was a great dad and took extra care of our little one while I was in recovery, I'm all better now and Mia has not gotten sick (knock on wood) so I think we did a good job on keeping her safe. Thia past week was Halloween and we decided to go with a simple costume for Mia as she really didn't know what was going on and figured next year we can go all out in a costume. She slept through most of the trick or treats but was able to enjoy a little fun at our neighbor Lisa's party that she hosted afterwards. Here are some pictures of Mia oh yeah by the way she is 5 moths old, 16.3 lbs, and 26 1/2 in long, She is rolling over on a regular basis and boy does she have fun with it, also she's eating baby food 2-3 time a day along with her formula she's getting so big it's scary. So see for yourself

Hello Everyone,
So we went to the beach last weekend with Katie, Ramon, Bill & Julie (Katie's parents) and had a wonderful time. Bill & Julie spoiled us with great food, good company, and tasty beverages. The last time we went Mia was a little to young to go into the pool so this time she was able to test the waters out and she loved it, I think it reminded her of an oversize bathtub which she loves tubby time. We ended up getting in around dinner time on Friday and left late Sunday evening so we had a solid 2 days for fun in the sun. Saturday we went down to the beach but the lifeguards started clearing it after they heard a thunder storm was on it's way to bad it didn't hit until 1 am that night but Sunday was beautiful, we went to the bay side and hung out in the sand and then went up to the pool after Mia was done with her 3 hour nap (that never happens) I think the fresh salty air and sound of the water was just so relaxing for her, maybe we should move to the beach. Well anyway here are some pics we wanted to share with you, hope you enjoy. Forgive me on how this is setup but I'm not good at designing a blog page

Picture Updates

The Family at the beach

Mia's crazy look

Hello All,
Just wanted to give you some updated pictures of Mia and let you know how she is doing. So we had to take her to the doctors a couple weeks ago for a cold that we thought she had but after a long hard 10 days of no sleep we took her back and found out that she more then likely has a milk allergy so we have started using soy and the past 2 days she has been doing great almost sleeping through the night and her congestion is slowly going away. After growing up around babies I never realized how much they drool and i can say now that Mia is a drooling machine Sok our daycare provider said yesterday that maybe she's starting to teeth (sp?) I can't believe that she's only 3 months old I feel like she's growing so fast and she's also 13 lbs already, she is an eater just like her mommy. So here are some pics of our beautiful little angel.

Mia's 1st Day at Daycare

So yesterday was Mia's first day at daycare and daddy dropped her off in the morning and caught some great pictures of the group. Mia and Soc (daycare provider)

We decided to go with an at home daycare as we felt she would get more one on one attention that she needs at this stage of her life so upon recommendation of our great friend Kelly we chose Soc who actually takes care of her son Tanner who has been a great help and protector of Mia, it's so cute to see him with her. Tanner playing w/ Mia along with Maddy and Soc

So i picked her up after work and she did great at daycare, had a lot of fun and was able to get some tummy time in through out the day. I hope today will be a little easier for mom and dad seeing she was well taken care of yesterday and took so well to her new surroundings.

We will keep you posted. Love, Us

Baltimor Aquarium

So we went to the Baltimore Aquarium on Friday and had a wonderful time. We left the house around 9:30 which i think was the earliest we have left the house since Mia was born and headed out to Baltimore, we got there around 11:30 of course Mia slept the whole way. Once we got there we went right to the aquarium we had tickets for the dolphin show which was very educational and fun as you know i love dolphins so i thought it was great. We walked and explored the rest of the aquarium then headed to the 4-D water Immersion Show I had to feed Mia during this which was a mistake because the seats were vibrating and things poking out at us on the seats and floor this was pretty cool. After the aquarium we walked around the harbor and stopped to eat dinner then stopped by to watch the street performer who I guess had been performing here for years, he was pretty good. Then we headed home around 8pm so it was a very long day but all of us had a great time.

Finally Here She is, Mia Tristin

Hey everyone I'm so sorry I haven't been updating the blog but as you know I have had my hands full for the past 8 weeks. I want everyone to know that Mia is perfect and the best little girl in the world and i can't wait for everyone to meet her. Mia Tristin Palacios was born on may 25, 2009 weighing in at 8.1 lbs and 20 inches, she is currently 8 weeks old and weighs 11.9 lbs and is 22 1/2 inches. I have posted some pictures of her from newborn to current. Becoming parents is the best and also hardest thing Caesar and I have done to date but are loving ever single moment of it and are so excited for what the future brings in watching our baby girl grow up it seems she is changing every day and we can't get enough of her. We took a family trip to the beach this summer and she absolutely loved it so we already know she will be a sun bunny just like her mom, she went on a tour of George Mason University with her big sister/cousin Tanisha as that is where she will (keep your fingers crossed) be going to school in 2010, and we are taking her to the Baltimore Aquarium this Friday so we have been pretty busy with life the past few weeks. Grammie Pat was her when she was born and spent a week with her and helped mom and dad out which was a life saver and we love her for that and hope to see her soon, Aunt Rachel came down to visit and spent some snuggle time with Mia and Aunt Kerry came to visit also to meet her first niece bearing gifts especially one that she will carry with her for a lifetime, Kerry made a beautiful scrapbook from when Mia was in my belly and decorated pages for me to fill in as she grows. We are hoping to come and visit Nana Val, Uncle Ron, Great Gram, Aunt Patty and cousin Jeremy and the rest of the family sometime in October before the snow comes. Well that's all I have time for now as Mia needs to eat and I promise I will keep the blog up going forward. Thank you to all our family and friends and hope to see you all soon. Love Us.

May 21st

Update from yesterday we had another sonogram done just to make sure her fluids were on level and according to the doctor she is top of her class. The tech was nice enough to try and take a picture of her face and this is what we got, it's hard to tell as she's pretty smooched in there but the 2 pics above is a full face shot. Enjoy
hello everyone I'm sure you're all curios as to what has been going on and I can tell you not much, our little bundle of joy has not yet decided to join us but we did find out yesterday that right now her birth date will be May 27th if she doesn't come sooner so please keep your fingers crossed that she decides to arrive this weekend. I know many of you have called and emailed and may not have received an answer back and I'm sorry for that it's just I am absolutely exhausted, still working (by choice) and finishing up last minutes things. We really appreciate all your thoughts and excitement and will let you know as soon as she arrives. Love us

May 18th

So as you may know already our little girl still has not joined us she is officially 1 day late and believe me I feel like I've been waiting forever for her to get here, oh yeah I have been I mean 9 months is a really long time. We are so anxious to meet our little girl it's driving me crazy so I'm still working so that I have something to keep me occupied. Yesterday I swear I had 20 text messages and a couple voice mails and if anyone reading was one of those sorry for not calling you back but I don't think I can handle hearing one more time " so she isn't here yet". I have tried everything my friend Kelly and I walked for the past days and I have been going up and down my stairs trying to bring on labor, I've tried other things too and there not working. I can honestly say that now I'm actually going through this that I don't believe any of these things work it's just a myth and some people are just lucky that by doing these things that are said to bring labor and oh a day later they have there baby, I'm telling you it's just luck. OK sorry for my rant but I think I have the right seeing the past week has felt like months. Alright I'm going to head out now I'll keep you posted.

17 Days and Counting

so we went to the doctors on Wednesday and everything looks good, her heart rate was 140 and the doctor said she probably weighs in right now in the low 7lbs so she said she may gain a couple more ounces in the next 2 weeks but shouldn't weight more then 8lbs, all i have to say is THANK YOU. So our lovely little girl seems like she wants to come out but my body is telling her no it's not time, what I mean is she is in position and working her way down but I'm still not dilated yet so the doctor said this may be a quick labor, please. So we got the rest of our pictures back from Steve the photographer and are going through them to decide which ones we would like to have prints made of and once I get them onto the computer I will upload some for you to see. I have my bags packed and my reminder on the fridge of the things i need to put in the bag last minute so I don't forget anything. i have a feeling the next 2 weeks are going to go by really slow and that won't be good because i am so anxious to meet our little girl. This weekend will be good because we have a lot going on, Tanisha has SAT's tomorrow, and then Prom and Caesar and I in between will be going to a " Let's Talk Babies" seminar and on Sunday hopefully no rain we will be doing some yard work and also going to look at a potential car for T so that she can have a way to get back and forth this summer from work. I guess that's it for know and I'll be back next week with another update. love you all

3 More Weeks To Go

Hey everyone just wanted to give you a little update on how things are going so far. So I had a doctors appointment last Thursday and everything looks great baby is in position and growing at the perfect rate. She has been really active the past couple of weeks and the 2 things she loves to do is put all of her weight on my bladder (yes this hurts) and also loves to show mommy her little foot by stretching as far as she can and moving it along my belly, at first I though this was really neat until the other morning I was standing in the mirror and actually saw it head on instead of looking down and I can say that it kind of creped me out but like the doctor said to much activity is better then little activity, so i won't be complaining. So last weekend Caesar and I went to get my maternity photos done and we had a really good time with it, all of the pictures turned out great it was so hard to choose so we ended up getting a disk with about 150 photos and then we will get some prints from that, but for now I will share one of the pictures taken with you. Over this past weekend it was almost 90 both Saturday and Sunday and i will say any women who is pregnant through the summer has my pity because it was torcher, so on Saturday i went and got a facial and it was wonderful if i could do that once a month I would, then I picked up Tanisha from work and when we got home she did some much needed leaf clean up for me as we are having the new play set installed this week and wanted to get it all cleaned up before they came out and then I took her and Chris to Mama Lucia's for dinner to show them my appreciation for helping around the house in such hot weather. Sunday I was up early, well I'm up early everyday so I got a head start on some house work, took a mid afternoon nap, and then was fully energized and put together the car seats and installed them into the cars, then I got the stroller put together and finished my day by grilling some steaks for the family. Today Caesar and I have to go and complete the paperwork for the Birthing Center and then tonight we have the breastfeeding Class that we signed up for, I'm sure he'll enjoy that one but it's really to talk about the expectations of breastfeeding and of course they go over how to do it which I will be using a teddy bear for, that should be funny to see. Well I'm going to get going for now and i will be back on Thursday with another update and some more pictures. Love to you all.

33 Days and Counting

Hello everyone, I know it's been a while but we have been really busy trying to get the house in order and also still manage to live our daily lives. So I had a doctors appointment last week on the 9th and everything looked great, she is growing and I also asked if she was in position yet and the doc gave me a firm yes she is head down, thank god. I will tell you though she is a mover and shaker it's so funny cause there will be times were she goes to stretch and then my whole stomach will just start to shake, weird but pretty cool at the same time. So next week we start our every week visits finally and I will also be tested for Strep B. Oh yeah so this weekend I officially lost my last symbol of my 20's I was told I had to remove my belly button ring because it was going to tear my skin even with the special one I bought for pregnancy, I started to notice a couple weeks ago it getting really red so I went to the piercing place and they were really nice but the guy told me it was in my best interest to remove it before it did any damage and left a scar so I did, I was sad. So we finished the nursery well most of it anyway, we are now working on the closet and I swear people thought I had a lot of cloths what until they see her dresser and closet, the great thing about it though is that we have cloths ranging from NB - 12 months, thank you to everyone for helping our little girl dress in style. I can't wait to actually put the cloths on her and see ow cute she looks. Well I better get back to work and I do have some pics to post but I have to have my hubby upload them first so I will be back with more. Love you all

Baby Shower # 2

Hello everyone first and for most baby and mommy are doing great and can't wait to meet face to face in 6 weeks, oh my. So on Saturday March 28th my sister-in-law/aunt-to-be Katie, Erica and Kelly threw us a wonderful baby shower that included games, great food, cake and a lot of spoiling this little girl. It was wonderful to know that when she arrives not only do mom and dad have great friends and family to support them but she will also be loved by so many people who are anxiously waiting to meet her. When I woke up that day I was hoping the weather forecast was going to be wrong and that it would be 60 and sunny but i only got half of that because it was rainy, that was OK though because I was just so excited to see everyone that a little rain didn't damp in the day:) Tanisha and I arrived at 1pm and everything was set up and looked great, oh yeah Katie was able to pull off the venue it was a very large and nice conference room in the building of one of her restaurants it was perfect. I was able to mingle and talk to a lot of people while I chowed down on some good food then we played a game I was laughing so hard because I was trying to play along and boy do I stink at games and then we started the opening of gifts I almost fell on the floor when I saw the entire corner over flowing with presents, everyone was so generous. After that we had cake which was great but Kelly went the extra mile and got a cake just "For Mommy" it was my favorite chocolate w/raspberry filling oh so good. Thanks Kelly, I'm still eating it and not sharing. After all the fun I was able to talk some more with our guest and Caesar made his appearance and was also amazed on how generous people had been. After that everyone started to leave and the clean up began we had some people left just chatting and catching up for a little bit then a group of us decided to go upstairs to the restaurant and some had drinks and the rest of us just relaxed. The trucks were packed and Caesar went to his parents to see Pops and Tanisha and I went to Ramon & Katie's for a little bit to eat and hung out with there friends Pat & Shelly, had some laughs and then we went home. All in all this was a day I will never forget and I have to thank my friends and family for that, a special thank you to Katie, Kelly, & Erica. I have attached a couple pictures and will post more once I have them. Thanks for reading and we love you all. 7 1/2 Weeks Left

Oh my can you believe it how time flies only 7 1/2 weeks or 52 days however you want to look at it. So anyway I went for my bi-weekly yesterday and I'm happy to report mom and baby girl are doing great, her heart rate was 132 which is good and I have a feeling it has dropped from all the other visits because she just doesn't have the room to move around as much, that being said she definitely lets me know when she's awake because I get jabs and kicks in the same spot over and over. Yesterday I was at my desk and went to bend over to pick something up and she kicked me under my rib, boy that didn't feel good and I told her so. I was pretty happy with my weigh in too as I only gained a 1/2 lb in the past 2 weeks the doctor said going forward that's all I should gain because once you hit the 3rd trimester the only gain should be what your baby is gaining so to celebrate last night I made myself the best milk shake ever. My next appointment is April 9th and then one more 2 week till we start ever week visits. I'm so excited I just can't wait to see our little girl. So yesterday we received all the information on the Strep B Test that I will get done at the end of April, i don't know about most women but the first time I had ever heard of this was when it had effected someone close to my sister in law, so i decided to read up on it, it's very rare when a baby gets this because they usually treat you with antibiotics while your in labor to prevent any infection and they say that 1 out of 200 babies will actually be affected by this if the mother has Strep B I just wanted to share this as I didn't know anything about before that point so maybe someone reading will hear it for the first time also. So this Saturday is my Virginia Baby Shower and I'm so excited to see everyone and have some fun. Katie did a beautiful job on the invitations and also making the arrangements for the party, Erica and Kelly have been working on food and party favors and they're many others that have put a hand in making this a special day, Caesar and I can't wait for it to be here. Thank you ladies for everything. I know I have to post a belly picture my mom keeps asking about it so I will do that within the next 2 days I promise. So Caesar and I experienced a baby consignment sale for the first time last weekend and can i tell you i will never do it again, how do people shop like that I felt rushed and also I was trying to find stuff for a year down the road I can't tell you how hard it is to look at a summer dress for 12 months and say maybe she'll fit into it or what if she doesn't, so I picked up a couple things and of course Caesar was waiting on the side lines going get back in there and pick more stuff out, I gave him the evil eye and he said OK let's go pay. These sales are great for toys, nursery items, or even just misc things you might not think of buying but will at the sale because it's so cheap but in great condition. i might go back once our little one arrives and it will be easier for me to shop for stuff. Well I'm going to sign off for now and will post some pics in a couple days. Love you all

60 Days

hello all I just wanted to post that we are down to 60 days and counting until our little girl joins us well that is as long as she's not stubborn (like her dad) and makes her way to us on the 17th of May. I can't wait to meet her and by the way she's been beating me up I think she's getting anxious also. Talk to you later

30 weeks

Hello everyone just wanted to let you know we had our 30 week check up on Tuesday and everything is going very well and our little baby girl is healthy with a heart rate of 155. The doctor said she is very active but it has been hard for me to tell because I have what you call an anterior placenta basically my placenta is acting as a cushion between the baby and my stomach wall, but the doctor said as the baby gets bigger and stronger I will feel and see why more on the outside then before and that started about a week ago. I'm sitting on the couch and Caesar is in the kitchen and I was getting really uncomfortable and having a weird pain in my side so I started to rub my belly and i felt it, called Caesar to rush over and there it was a foot, hand, or elbow sticking out the side of me, he asked if it hurt and yes it did but i was so amazed I didn't even care and one other time she got me good I was walking up the stairs at work and wham she kicked me dead center in the belly. So we went on a tour of The Birthing Center on Saturday and was able to see where we will deliver and the room we stay in after, they go over all the rules and guidelines that have to be followed while your there, so it was very helpful and Caesar and I are very satisfied with our choice. i will say Saturday must have been the day to deliver because the lobby was packed with people waiting for good news. I have also narrowed it down to 2 pediatricians and will hopefully make a decision next week. So I have been looking for a photographer to do my maternity photos and most of the people I found were high priced, I'm talking $500- 600 so i decided against it and would just have my wonderful husband take some nice pictures, so yesterday Caesar told me he plays basketball with a photographer who has done maternity photos before and for me to give him a call and set up an appointment and he is fairly priced. So they say you should do them between 33-36 weeks so on week 35 I will be getting the photos taken I;m actually pretty excited and hope they turn out great. I will be posting my 30 week pic later on so keep a look out. THE POLLS ARE CLOSED so we have a winner Savanah Marie now don't get all crazy and think that's her name because we still haven't decided and don't plan on it until she arrives we just wanted to see what everyone else liked, Nevaeh came in 2nd and Mia 3rd I was actually a little shocked as Mia has seemed to be the favorite for most people we talk to. I will be back when i have some more news. Love you all

Belly Pics Finally

So for everyone who hasn't seen me recently I have finally taken some more belly pics to share with you. These were taken Saturday evening after a long day of work and cleaning so don't mind the non-pregnancy glow. Actually I think that whole thing is a lie because I haven't had it through out the entire 28 1/2 weeks, that's right folks only 11 1/2 more weeks until week get to meet our little girl. Oh and just to let you know my test came back negative for gestational diabetes, so yippee. Caesar and I are taking a tour of the birthing center this Saturday so we will know the ins and outs of the place, I have actually been there before as one of my closest friends had her little boy there and after being there for that I decided when it was time for us to have a child I wanted to give birth there, it's like a mini hotel. OK so here are the pictures

Glucose Test

hello everyone just wanted to drop a quick line to give you all an update on our baby girl. So i went yesterday Monday Feb. 23rd for my glucose test which they have all pregnant women take at around 28-29 weeks to make sure you don't have Gestational Diabetes so they make you chug this orange drink filled with sugar exactly an hour before they draw blood I suggest doing this first thing in the morning as you can't eat or drink anything but this stuff and it taste like a mix between tang and flat orange soda. So anyway I made it through and should have my results bake by the end of the week. The baby's heart rate was 155 yesterday which is great and the doctor said everything thinks perfect she is growing and he suggest she is around 14 1/2 inches long and between 2-3 lbs. I'm sitting down with my boss next week to talk about my maternity leave and when and for how long I will be gone so I asked the doctor if my due date is May 17th when is the latest you will let me carry her and he said the 22nd and they would induce. So my boss was hoping that i would leave early but I told him no way I'm working until i go into labor, I'm not giving up precious time before she arrives that I could have once she is here. So for my bosses sak it would be great if I do go into labor on my due date cause it's a Sunday. Well other then that I will be taking my monthly pictures and will post them for all to see. Oh yeah starting yesterday I go to the doctor every 2 weeks now, how exciting that means she will be here sooner then we know it, we can't wait. Love to all

The Start of 28 Weeks

Oh my can you believe only 12 more weeks until our little girls arrives, well hopefully it's only 12 weeks:) So as of this week our little one weighs in at about 2.5 lbs and about 14.5 inches long, that's what baby center tells me anyway. I would believe the weight but the length is a little hard for me to come to terms with as i don't know where 14.5 inches would go. Since the last blog we haven't back back to the doctors but our next appointment is on Monday the 23rd, however i did go see a Chiropractor yesterday for my back and neck problems I've been having and boy did I learn a lot, i thought i would just go in and he would snap, crackle, and pop me but he didn't, well he did but that was after he did some deep tissue massage and some kind of pressure thing but it was great I felt like a hundred bucks walking out of there and last night for the first time in a long time I actually didn't wake up 5 times because of my back pain, i just woke because my bladder told me to. So I set up another appointment with him so he can follow up with me and after that he said I should really be OK with just some stretches and husband back rubs. So last week it finally happened i can officially no longer fit into any of my regular pants so I was working with 2 pairs of maternity pants for 7 days, this was difficult so I actually wore my black PJ bottoms one day, no one even noticed. So I was online looking for sales all last week but I still cannot justify paying over $30 for a pair of pants that I will only wear for the next couple of months and shirts also you can't find any for under $20 so I went to craigslist and found a number of women selling what they call Lots of Maternity Clothes but of course the only ones I could find were either x-small, petite, or large and x-large. So on Friday I went on around 3:30 to check again and there she was 45 articles of Small & Medium clothing in great condition and some still with tags, so i call and set up a meeting with her for Sunday now don't get me wrong I was a little hesitant on doing this as i really don't like sharing things with other people but since I've been pregnant the only thing I don't like to share is my FOOD. So I went over and the women Jesse was great just my size and her little girl was born in December so majority of the clothes were just bought and stylish well to get to my point I walked away with 5 dress pants, 2 jeans, 1 yoga pant, and about 22 maternity tops for $100 so I'm set I don't think I will have to buy anymore clothes. Sorry for the long story but i thought it was a good one to share especially for my family who knows what a bargain shopper i am. On another note little baby girl has been doing some great acrobatics in my belly all morning no hiccups yet people keep asking me if she's gotten them yet and I can say no i don't think so. Well just wanted to share a little with you and let you know that we are doing great and I'll post more next week. love you all

26 Weeks Down and 14 To Go

Hello everyone so we had our 26 week checkup yesterday and was surprised to find out that our due date is May 17th so almost a week earlier then we expected. So if you don't know when we originally went the 17th was the day and then after our 12 week sonogram they said May 24th so that's what Caesar I believed was our due date until yesterday when the doctor said everything looks great and on schedule for a May 17th due date was asked her why it changed and she said the doctor goes by what they tell us not the sonogram techs as they can be off by up to 10 days. So seeing Caesar and I were convinced that she would join us a least a week late she may actually come on the 24th. Her heart rate yesterday was a healthy 150 and she is becoming more active as the days go on. I'm healthy and gaining weight at the right pace but have come to the conclusion that I need to get some regular exercise other then my once a week yoga which I love so I have signed up for a swim class called " Mothers in Motion" which is 2 days a week and yes I' found a bathing suit to fit my belly. The nice thing is everyone in the class will be pregnant so I can meet some other expecting moms and hear about there experiences. So my next appointment is on the 23rd of this month and I have a Glucose Test done, they gave me this orange sugar drink that i will have to down exactly and hour before my appointment so they can test me for diabetes. After this visit I will start my every 2 weeks, I have a feeling once that happens time is just going to start flying by and May will be here before we know it. We sold my car over the weekend and will start looking for a more suitable vehicle for me to drive I have a feeling it will be difficult for Caesar and I to agree on something but what ever we do decide it will be safe and dependable. We are hoping to start working on her room real soon but first we need to get Tanisha's room done, we are making some changes to her room to give her more space so we have gotten a new bed and a dresser that I hope will suit the shape of the room better then what she currently has and then we will tackle or should I say Caesar will clean up our room on the main level which will become the TV room and then we can start on the nursery this is a work in progress but I will take pictures to document all of our hard work. So that's it for now if you want to know anything else please just ask. We love you all

Baby Shower #1

Hello everyone i figured i would tell you a little bit about my first baby shower. So I went to Buffalo this weekend I know some of you might wonder why i would try to brave the snow and cold at such a time but this was the last long weekend I have at work before i can't fly anymore so my best friend Rachel, little sister Kerry, and my step mom Val put together a wonderful shower for me on Saturday. I arrived Friday afternoon and was treated to a mani & pedi for a belated x-mas gift (thanks sis) and then i had to treat my baby girl to a little thing called Mighty Taco, oh my how i forgot what tasty food they have and then later that night decided I needed to have my Friday Fish Fry which was great, later that night I met up with a bunch of girls I went to high school with and haven't seen in almost 10 years it was a lot of fun and one of my old friends Jill is pregnant also and due 2 weeks before me so it was nice to compare notes. Saturday I woke up early as i do every day and went to visit my grandma for a bit and introduce her to her future great granddaughter which was nice, then I made my way back to the family house for my shower, it was great all my family was there even my mom drove all the way from Indiana for the shower. It was great to be able to share this with my family and the shower was wonderful, i think our daughter will have cloths for the next year, i guess i better start clearing my closet out:) All and all it was a great day. Sunday Rachel ad I cleaned up the house and tried to see how many of the gifts i could actually get packed and then the rest she will ship to me, you would be surprised how many baby outfits fit in my luggage. Later on I went out for a great meal to a new restaurant that a guy i grew up with owns with my mom, sister Patty, Desiree, Jeremy, and little Aleksa called Crazy Jake's it was good. On Monday my mom came over for some pizza and wings, I mean you can't go to Buffalo and not get that and boy are you people missing out on something great. i swear every time i go home i miss the wings more and more after we ate my mom left and Kerry took me to the airport for my crazy trip home. I figured my flight would be delayed so i stopped to get a sandwich and something to drink for the flight and i was right it was delayed by an hour which actually isn't that bad, so because we were flying in to DC we had to go through double security and also a bomb sniffing dog, the dog was kind of scary but everyone made it on the plane and Caesar was there to pick my up and we came home. I was happy to be home and sleeping in my own bed and i think baby was too because it was the first time in 4 nights that she actually let me sleep. Oh yeah so the weather was horrible when i got there it was below freezing and then it snowed for over 48 hours straight no wonder i don't live there. I do love my trips home for the fact i get to spend time will my family and have them apart of this wonderful time of my life. Thank you again to all that celebrated with me and to those who weren't able to make we missed you. This is me and baby at 23 weeks Love ushttp://share.shutterfly.com/action/welcome?sid=0AZNmbNi4ZtmTi4

22 Weeks

So i had another appointment this morning so they could get the final measurments of her face and head, oh yeah she's still a girl for those who were doubtful. The technichian said she is measuring just perfect and to keep doing what I'm doing and we will stay on track. So she weighs in at 1 lb on the dot and she's a little over 12 in long. It's so intersting the things you learn at these appointmnets about the development of the baby some things amaze me. So the pictures i attached are the 4D pics that they do now, she got some really good shots of her face but when scanning them they didn't turn out to good but you get the idea, the top left one is the side of her face, both hands & arms, and 1 foot- top right side veiw of her face- middle right front of face and hand - lower left front of face. I hope you enojoy and unfortunately these will be the last pictures of her until she decides to join us, i will keep give updates on our progress and soon post some pics of my growing belly. I hope you enjoy- Love you all

Half Way Point

So we went for our 21 week checkup yesterday day and everything looked great, except for the numbers on the scale:( Believe me I'm well aware that yes you have to gain weight when your pregnant and I'm OK with that but what caught me off guard was I went to yoga on Saturday and weighed myself and I was at 129 and then at the doctor the scale tipped at 135, i looked at the nurse and told her that the scale had to be wrong she then asked why and i told her i just weighed myself, her answer well i guess this was your week to gain your most weight, errrr. So i had the belly measured for the first time and they will do this now every visit, and of course we heard our little girls heartbeat which was 155 but it was funny cause the doctor said you have an active one on your hands because she was chasing her to get a steady read of her heart rate. Our appointments are funny because we wait in the lobby longer then we actually see the doctor, in and out. So we did get to make another sonogram appointment and it's set for next Thursday but i may have to cancel because i have a big meeting that day and then I'm leaving the next morning for Buffalo. So i have a new found love for maternity cloths especially pants, so I still fit into my regular cloths minus being able to button them but i use my belly bands and you can't even tell, sometimes things get a little snug so this morning i put on my maternity jeans and i love them, they are so comfy i don't think i want to take them off. Well I'm signing off for now and will get you more updates as they come.
