It's a Girl

Yeah, so we found out today that we are having a little GIRL. We had our appointment at 9:45 and waited for what seemed to be forever to get called in and then when we did she got right to business which was great. So for the first 20 minutes our little one would not stop moving (at this point we didn't know yet) and then we got the money shot "It's a Girl" yes I started to cry I mean my emotions are running rapid at this point. The technician was wonderful she was explaining everything to us and all the measurements she was taking and why I mean I got to see her bladder go from a little full to extremely full it was amazing. So from her size I am 20 weeks and 3 days and because every time we go the due date changes by a couple days I'm going with May 17-25 somewhere in between there. So after we got to see our daughter do little ballerina twirls literally, the tech and I started laughing when we say her do it. She decided she was tired and laid face down, butt in the air, hands over her head and wouldn't move so the tech told me to take a bathroom break and jump up and down so I did well Caesar couldn't believe I was doing this so we were all able to get a little laugh out of it. So we will be going back in a couple of weeks so they can get the accurate measurements needed of her face. Once the tech said it was a girl I was convinced but not Caesar he kept asking all kinds of questions so after she checked for the 3rd time Caesar asked how sure she was and she said "about 95% but I'm pretty sure cause if this is a boy the wee wee is really small" so i hope she's right. We will have them check to make sure nothing grew there at our next appointment. Well that's it for today, i have attached some pics but they didn't scan all that well.

Week 17

So we went to the doctor today for our 17 week check up, the baby is doing great the heart rate was a solid 145 which the doctor thought she made a funny joke by saying " oh it sounds like a boy" and I swore Caesar's jaw dropped and he replied "how can you tell" she told him that it's just something fun that she likes to do cause so many people follow the old wise tails. I had my last tube of blood drawn, thank god it's the worse. I felt bad because the hemotologist (sp) came in and I said " I hate this" she commented back to me " i'm not going to kill you" the I said i should probably get over it as I'm going to be giving birth in a couple months and I'm sure that' s worse then giving blood, but then I thought and said " oh yeah i'll get drugs though" she started laughing and said that's the only way to do it. So we go to a doctors office where during a pregnancy you having rotating doctors in this practice thay have 4, 3 femals and 1 male. So Caesar and I felt why not get it out of the way and just meet all 4 of them in our first 4 visits. So we have meet 2 females and 1 male, our appointment in November we say the male doctor, I thought he was great, we both liked him alot and during that visit he said that next time you come in we can schedule your final sonogram to first and for most make sure the baby is developing properly and then if you would like to find out the sex. I said i thought we had to wait until 20 wks he said we can do it anywhere from 18 - 20 great so we would have been able to fidn out before Christmas. So yesterday we see Dr. Park (2nd female) and she gives me the referral for the sonogram and says you can make your appointment 3 weeks from now, WHAT!!! Caesar looked and giggled at me and I said why can't i go at 18 weeks she replied with the sonographers don't like when we send people early because it makes there job difficult and they want to be accurate. Logically I understand but at the same time I am so anxious to see how much my baby has grown, I can honestly say I don't know how people go 20 wks without another sonogram before the baby is born, it might drive me crazy. So I came in to work this morning and called the Radiology Center right away so they wouldn't fill up and I have my appointment for 9:45 Wednesday December 31st. it will be a great way to enter the New Year.

Hello everyone so I thought i would give a little update on the family. So mom and dad have been sick for the past week and unfortunatley baby won't let mommy take any medicine so i will be visiting the doctor tomorrow for the sinus infection I now have. Caesar and i are getting excited we go for our monthly on Thursday and will be setting up our appointment for the sonogram to see what are little bundle will be boy or girl. So we went to register at Babies-r-Us and Target this weekend for some stuff because my best friend Rachel is throwing me a shower in January back home in Buffalo. So i went off to Target by myself to do some clicking of small items and then made Caesar go with me later to Babies-r-Us, for soemone who didn't want to go and actually suggetesed I take a friend instead by the time we left the store he wanted to keep going. We were able to get all the items that require both of our input out of the way so I will be going back this weekend to add some stuff. I never realized how hard it is to look for stuff for a baby that would be considered nuetral because the stores don't have anything, i couldn't believe what a poor selection they have for the situation if you don't want to know what your having. Gotta run, I'll be back with more updates. Oh yeah I tried to post the sonogram pictures but the site won't upload PDF files. Yeah I got it to work this was the 3D image at 12 weeks.
